Sir Richard Logan

Description:
Bio:

Avalon adventurer and member of the Explorer’s Society

Richard Logan was born as the result of a bet, yes a bet, but not a bet between ordinary men, no it was a bet between a few Sidhe, members of the Goodly Folk. They had determined that whoever would manage to seduce a human woman they had choosen before, and have a child with her would be the winner.
His Mother was from inismore, at least that’s what he´s been told, and so he considers himself to be an Inishman, he doesn´t know for sure, because she died in childbirth, and he has never seen her or any of his mortal Family.
He was raised in Bryn Bresail, but nor by his father, who lost interest in him once his bet was won, but by his older sister, herself a full Sidhe, he is bonded to her still.
When he was 13 years old he had to leave the world of the Sidhe and enter the human world again.
It was not easy for the young man and he endured many hardships during the first few years, learning the ways of humans and
to be quit about his heritage
Then he learned of a group of Humans who had established a permanent Alliance with the Sidhe, the McCodrum Clan of the Highlands.
He traveled to their lands and for a time he found peace, being with people like him, he learned to love the sea, and never again could resit it´s call, even if it was not as strong in him as it was in the McCodrums.
He also met his first love there, a young McCodrum girl named Jennifer, their realtionship ended due to an unfortunate Incident with a member of Clan McDonald, and because he could not bear to be near her he left.
He traveled to Inismore, to learn the ways of his mothers people, but after a few more years he got restless again and traveled to Avalon itself.
He always describes this period of his life as his early life it took nearly 40 years though.
In 1660 the call of the Sea braught him to Luthon where a meeting with the Lady Celedoine ended after a short affair with him joining the Sea Dogs.
He started his career as a simple sailor, but he quickly managed to become first an ensign and later the 2nd Officer of the “Duncaith” ( all with skill and a little discreet help from Celedoine).
It was in the summer of 1666 when he attended a party at the palace in carleon, together with his captain that he was involved in circumstances that first lost him his job, threw him into danger and ended with him being captain of a ship that was partially his.
At the party he and a pair of young Eisen Nobles were asked by a castillian scholar to assist him in a duel, this ended in a wild chase firt to Carleon and then to LaBucca with the Inquisition on their heels. From there they managed to get back to the Mainland, and on a promise of help to get back to Avalon he followed the two north to Eisen, where after a few adventures they arrived in Freiburg.
Here fate intervened and provided him with an opportunity to get his own ship, all he had to do was provide alittle service to Trague the Eisenfürst. He and one of the Eisen, a man named Edelbert Ambrosius von Immenhofen agreed to do what was asked, and after completing their task (relieving the Montaigne embassy of the latest shipment of Money) they were given their reward, a ship.
His first Voyage has taken him to the Midnight Archipelago in service to his old friends in the Explorer Society.
Logan still looks like a youthful man, a gift from his Sidhe Blood, just like his slightly mysterious looks, that give him his success with women.
Logan likes to show his newfound wealth, he has been poor long enough.
He is of above average height, and keeps his silvery blond hair at shoulder length, often wearing it open.
He is quite the Ladies Man, and has had shortlived affairs with many of them, the Explorer Cossette being the latest of them.
He lacks a sense for the passing of time as it affects him differently then the people around him, and now that he has his own ship can be quite authoritarian, the fact is he is in love with his own newfound power at the moment. The moderating voices of his friends are already coming through though, and given time he might become an excellent captain.
